What is the TV's Operating Hours setting for?
Operating Hours tells the dashboard on which days and at what times the TV should be running. It is only there for better control and management: it does not change how the TV / device works. In other words, it doesn't turn it on, turn it off or change what is shown.
If you don't set any hours, the TV is considered to be running non-stop, 24/7, and the dashboard shows Running non-stop 24/7.
What changes when you set operating hours
- Status: when the TV goes Offline / No communication outside Operating Hours, it appears in grey instead of red, with the status No Communication outside Operating Hours, in the TV list and on the Status Page.
- Notifications: if you receive emails when the TV goes Offline, you only receive them when this happens within Operating Hours. If your plan doesn't include notifications, the Operating Hours help text says: "The feature to receive Notifications when the TV loses communication is available on the Premium and Corporate plans."
