What are a TV's Operating Hours used for?
Operating Hours tell the panel on which days and at what times the TV should be running. They are only for better control and management: they do not change how the TV / device works. In other words, they do not switch it on, switch it off or change what is shown.
If you do not set any hours, the TV is considered to be running non-stop, 24/7, and the panel shows Running non-stop 24/7.
What changes when you set hours
- Status: when the TV goes Offline / No Communication outside Operating Hours, it appears in grey instead of red, with the status No Communication outside Operating Hours, in the TV list and on the Status Page.
- Notifications: if you receive emails when the TV goes Offline, you only receive them when this happens within Operating Hours. If your plan does not include notifications, the Operating Hours help says: "The feature to receive Notifications when the TV loses communication is available on the Premium and Corporate plans."
