How do I get an email when a TV goes offline?

You can get an email whenever a TV goes Offline / No communication. You can turn on the notification in the Notifications tab of each TV, or for several TVs at once from the TV list.

Important: notifications are not available on all plans. If your plan does not include this feature, the Notifications tab shows the message "Notifications available on Premium and Corporate plans" and the option stays set to No.

Turn on for one TV

  1. In the TVs menu, click the name of the TV.
  2. Click the Notifications tab.
  3. Click Enable Editing.
  4. Under Receive notification when Offline, choose Yes.
  5. Click Save.

Just below the option, the panel shows the email address that will receive the notifications: this is your user's email address.

Note: even users without permission to edit the TV can turn on their own notifications in this tab.

Turn on for several TVs

  1. In the TVs menu, select the TVs in the list.
  2. In the With selected... menu, choose Receive Notifications.
  3. Choose Yes (or No, to turn them off).
  4. Click Change Notification settings.

Each user turns on their own

When you turn on the notification, only you receive the email. If other users have access to the same TV, each of them needs to turn on the notification from their own login.

Operating Hours

If the TV has Operating Hours set, you only receive notifications when it goes Offline / No communication within those hours. See What are the TV's Operating Hours for?

Not receiving the emails?

Check whether the messages are going to your spam folder, or add status@on-cloud.live as a trusted sender in your email.
