How do I display content on an LED panel or on only part of the screen?
To display content on an LED panel or on only part of the screen, set a custom size and position for the app window. These options are on the TV's Extras tab, in the App group.
Important: the Window size, Window position and Screen / Monitor options only appear on Windows TVs, from version 3.12.8 of the app onwards. They do not appear on Android devices. To choose a device, see Which devices are recommended for a video wall or LED panel?
Set the window size and position
- In the TVs menu, click the TV's name.
- Click the Extras tab.
- Click Enable Editing.
- Under Window size, change Full Screen to Custom.
- Enter the window's Width and Height, in pixels.
- Under Window position, enter the X / Horizontal and Y / Vertical values.
- Click Save.
Note: the position can only be customised when the size is not set to Full Screen. Until it is set, the panel shows (not set).
Some details about the values:
- The width and height accept values from 100 to 10,000.
- The position is measured relative to the computer's main screen and accepts negative values.
Choose the screen (monitor)
If the computer has more than one screen connected, the Screen / Monitor option also appears, with the options Screen number 1, Screen number 2 and so on. Choose which one the app should display the content on.
Adjust how the content fills the window
In the same group, the File scaling option defines how each file fits within the window. In the default mode, Proportional inside, the file is resized proportionally to fit the window. See the other options in file scaling and video playback mode.
Tip: changes may take a few minutes to take effect and are only applied when the TV is Online / Working correctly.
