Which devices are recommended for a video wall or LED panel?
The ideal device depends on the layout of your video wall or LED panel: 16:9 aspect ratio, two screens, three or more screens, or a panel with a custom aspect ratio or resolution.
16:9 video wall
This applies to setups such as 2 screens on top and 2 on the bottom, 3 on top and 3 on the bottom, and so on.
In this case, you can use virtually any Windows PC or Android TV Box, but you need to connect it to a video wall controller, which in turn is connected to each screen.
| Device | Supported orientation |
|---|---|
| Proeletronic PROSB-3000 | Portrait and landscape (screen rotation) |
| Proeletronic PROSB-1000 (Proeletronic Stick) | Portrait and landscape (screen rotation) |
| Intel / Windows Mini PC Certo PC - 213, or another PC running Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, 10, or 11 | Portrait and landscape (screen rotation) |
| Google Chromecast 4 | Landscape only |
| Xiaomi Mi Box S | Landscape only |
| Xiaomi Mi Stick 4K (MDZ-27-AA / MiTV-AYFR0) | Landscape only |
Video wall with other aspect ratios
2 screens, stacked or side by side
Use a PC running Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, 10, or 11 with at least two video outputs. The best value options are Ryzen Mini PCs or Intel NUCs, such as:
- Ryzen / Windows Mini PC Bluecase
- Intel / Windows Mini PC Certo PC - 213
3 or more screens, side by side or stacked
Since this aspect ratio is uncommon, use a PC with more video processing power, with a dedicated NVIDIA or AMD graphics card and as many video outputs as there are screens.
LED panel with a custom aspect ratio or resolution
Use a Ryzen Mini PC or another PC with an AMD/Ryzen or NVIDIA graphics card.
Devices we do not recommend under any circumstances
- Amazon Fire Stick
- Intelbras / Izyplay
- MXQ
- TX / Tanix
Important: for use in corporate environments, we do not recommend Proeletronic devices, as they may have issues on networks with more advanced technologies.
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi
All devices support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, but not all of them support 5 GHz. If your network broadcasts only on 5 GHz, check the specifications of each device.
Other devices
Other devices running Android / Google may also work normally. If you have questions about a specific model, contact our support team.
