How do I point my custom domain?
You point your custom domain or subdomain in your domain's DNS zone by using a CNAME record. The target for the record is shown in the dashboard, on the Settings > Control Panel page.
Record details
| Item | What to use |
|---|---|
| Where to do it | Your domain's DNS zone editor |
| Record type | CNAME |
| Target | The one shown under Settings > Control Panel |
Where to find the DNS zone
- Domain without web hosting: create the record directly in your domain registrar's DNS zone editor.
- Domain with web hosting: you'll likely need to create the record in the DNS zone editor in your hosting control panel.
Important: do not create a subdomain in your hosting control panel. Only create the record directly in the DNS zone editor.
Point the domain
- In the Adeus Pendrive dashboard, go to Settings > Control Panel and check the target for the record.
- Open your domain's DNS zone editor, at your registrar or hosting provider.
- Create a CNAME record pointing to that target.
